Predicted vs Ready plans
Plans predicted by REEN Hub and Ready Plans to execute
Plans may be either predicted or ready for use.
Predicted plans reflect what likely will be the optimal plan for a particular day in the future, based on forecasts derived from data received to date; however, predicted plans are expected to change as new data is received and forecasts are updated accordingly.
Similar to weather forecasts, predicted plans have a greater level of uncertainty the more distant their predicted date is in the future, with the reliability of calculations increasing as the predicted date approaches.
Predicted plans are repeatedly calculated at regular intervals for each content type at each site, taking into account with each recalculation changes in the relevant trend data. At some point on or just before the predicted scheduled date, the system will "freeze" the predicted service lists or smart plans, after which no further refinements will be made, and which are then available for execution.
Ready plans represent the final recommendation for servicing a particular content type on a particular date, and will not change based on any incoming data. They are ready for use.
Customers are advised to only act on ready plans, though review of predicted plans can be useful for understanding the plans which are likely to be recommended in the future.
