Overview of Sites and Adding New Sites
Sites section allows you to modify sites on your REEN Hub Account
Overview
The top level of the sites view of the manage area is similar in presentation to the sites view of the status section, providing the same filtering options and site location map, including the option to create a new site.
Selecting a particular site in the sites listing, will present a summary of that site's configuration, showing all content types which are currently being managed at that site, and present the same edit icon in the top right corner as is visible in the site status summary view..
The manage area listing may contain sites which are not visible in the status area listing, as only fully active sites are shown in the status area listing; whereas all sites defined, no matter their state of configuration, are shown in the manage area listing. A fully active site is one which has at least one container with a sensor installed and activated, which is associated with a managed content type at that site.
Add a Site
To add a new site, select the "+ ADD SITE" option at the top of the sites listing view.
In the form presented, enter the name and street address of the site. The location coordinates of the site will be calculated based on the specified address details. Note that site names are required to be unique.
If the site address is incomplete, or the precise location of the site does not correspond to the street address, the map will show the general area as closely as possible based on the address information provided, and you may zoom and pan the map view, and manually drag the site marker on the map until it accurately marks the location of the site.
Each site must be classified according to one of the following types:
Container
A container site is a location where one or more adjacent, or nearly adjacent containers are managed as a group. If there is more than approximately 10 meters (30 feet) distance between groupings of adjacent containers, each grouping should be treated as a distinct site.
Depot
A depot is a location where vehicles are stored when not in use.
Loading
A loading site is a location used by delivery customers for loading material into or onto vehicles for delivery, if distinct from the depot.
Unloading
An unloading site is a location used by collection customers for unloading collected material, such as a landfill, recycling center, energy generation plant, etc.
Maintenance
A maintenance site is a location where vehicles or containers are regularly maintained, if distinct from the depot.
Other
Any other type of site not corresponding to one of the above.
If appropriate, an "area" may be specified for the site, from the set of customer defined areas.
If needed, an external ID can be associated with the site.
